Second Sunday Spotlight ( via Zoom)

Studio of Eric St Georges.

For PRS Members & GuestsRegistration required!

My current focus is abstracted figurative sculpture and drawing. I draw almost exclusively from life, my preference being very short poses. I like to combine charcoal, ink and watercolor, which allow me to work quickly. I create most of my sculptures in clay, often from life. I then cast them in bronze, which is time consuming but very rewarding.

With both my drawing and my sculptures, I do not try to tell a story, as much as to capture life, the energy, the emotion, in as spontaneous and raw a manner as possible.

I normally spend my time between my Los Gatos studio, a local foundry, various life drawing and sculpture sessions in the bay area and teaching at Pacific Art League.

Since last March, unable to have access to a foundry, I have been mostly experimenting with cement casting. I also started to teach online.

Please Note: Download and install the Zoom app from Zoom.com well before the meeting; the online instructions are helpful.

Before the meeting, registrants will receive the Meeting ID and password, plus telephone numbers if dialing in.

We look forward to helping PRS members host their own Second Sunday Spotlight events, and appreciate your feedback about how to improve this experience for all!
