FORMS & Sequences
A Pacific Rim Sculptors members juried exhibition with the loosely based theme of forms and sequences. Sculpture has form, but that form often evolves over time in a sequence of shapes and ideas. Sometimes the sculptor captures that sequence within a single form, or creates a sequence of forms as an aggregate piece.
JUROR: Phil Linhares, retired Chief Curator of Art at the Oakland Museum of California. Phil served 43 years as a curator in the San Francisco Bay Area: Director of Exhibitions at the San Francisco Art Institute, 1967-77; Director of the Mills College Art Gallery (now museum), 1978-1989, Oakland Museum 1990-2011. He continues to organize occasional exhibitions for local non-profit galleries, the most recent a solo exhibition of the work of painter Hung Liu at the Sanchez Art Center, Pacifica, California.
