Honoring Barry BeachPacific Rim Sculptors extends our deepest gratitude to Barry Beach for his exceptional leadership and service to our organization. Since 2018 Barry has served with dedication first as Secretary and then Acting President, guiding PRS with thoughtfulness, clarity, and a calm, steady presence during times of transition and growth. Throughout his tenure, Barry strengthened our governance practices, supported exhibition initiatives, updates to our website and submission platform, all while maintaining continuity for the board and membership alike. His collaborative spirit and quiet generosity have made a lasting impact on our board culture and the broader PRS community. Barry is now stepping down from the Board of Directors in order to devote more time to his studio practice and to his continued service on the board of Downtown ArtWorks in San Rafael, where he remains an active contributor to the arts community. As an artist, his work reflects a deep engagement with material, time, and transformation: qualities that have also defined his leadership. We are profoundly grateful for Barry’s integrity, vision, and commitment. While we will miss his presence on the board, we look forward to witnessing the continued evolution of his artistic work and community contributions. Thank you, Barry, for your excellence and generosity of spirit. Catherine Daley Board President Pacific Rim Sculptors |
