Pacific Rim Sculptors

Pacific Rim Sculptors (PRS) is a Chapter of the International Sculpture Center (publisher of  Sculpture magazine)

PRS was founded on the beliefs that cultural vitality and artistic diversity contribute to a healthy society. The organization aims to increase public awareness of sculpture by promoting public and private exhibits, and through education and outreach programs.

This ISC Chapter encourages artistic diversity and excellence by providing a community for artists to meet, show their work, exchange ideas and address issues of common concern. Its member opportunities and resources are intended to encourage the development of all sculptors. Pacific Rim Sculptors has members in the San Francisco Bay Area, along the West Coast and elsewhere.

Our Mission

  • Promote artistic excellence
  • Provide collective opportunities & resources for members
  • Foster development of young artists
  • Contribute to communities by increasing public awareness & appreciation of sculpture as an important art form.
  • PRS History

In the mid-1980s six Bay Area sculptors (Gale Wagner, John Fick, Greg Wescott, Chuck Splady, Don Rich and Luigi Testa) wanted to meet and talk about their work in a group that supported and and encouraged their careers. From their informal meetings grew the organization that became "Pacific Rim Sculptors Group", and which in 2016 formally achieved non-profit status and became "Pacific Rim Sculptors", a Chapter of the International Sculpture Center.
