Second Sunday Studio VisitsYou read that right! PRS Studio Visits are coming back! We are excited to announce the re-introduction of the monthly studio visits to our member base. This is an opportunity for our members to engage more deeply with our arts community and the creative process with these monthly studio visits (with possible in-studio art demonstrations, and artist talks if you wish!), scheduled for every 2nd Sunday of the month through the fall. Event Details:
Each session will offer a unique experience, providing insight into the techniques, materials, and inspirations behind each artist’s works. It's a wonderful chance to witness the creative process up close, and ask questions. If you are interested in hosting a studio visit, in-studio demo, and/or and artist talk about your work, please email events@pacificrimsculptors.org for more information and to sign up. |

Hosted by ShockBoxx, the gallery is known for pushing boundaries in ways other galleries may not dare to. Situated in the Cypress Arts District of Hermosa Beach, California, ShockBoxx Gallery serves as a pivotal center in the South Bay for artists, curators, collectors, and art aficionados to unite and promote the arts. Kathleen KingKathleen King was accepted into the group show entitled ACCESS: An Ordinary Notion. This exhibition is a national juried exhibition sponsored by the Northern California Women's Caucus for Art. This exhibition tells individual stories and advocates for social justice and human rights. Inspired by Alice Paul who introduced the Equal Rights Amendment in 1923, this potent collection showcases art in all media that illuminates the ongoing conversation around race, women's and LGBTQIA+ rights, reproductive rights, and more. Using simple construction methods, pieces of found plywood are attached together with other scrap pieces. A design is created from the functional placement of these connectors. This work demonstrates the strategies of solidarity, attention and care that we maintain to protect and support equitable, sustainable relationships."J. Marguerite ElliotFollowing her solo exhibition of large scale Sentinel sculptures at Pitzer College, Marguerite Elliot wote an article about her art career that is included in The Magazine of Pitzer College Spring 2024.
