In March-April 2018 Pacific Rim Sculptors partnered with Levy Art + Architecture to present “Room for Thought”, a juried exhibition of contemporary sculpture by artists living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. (Press & Media: Press_Release.pdf) Art objects usually draw attention to their presence, yet it is often the space surrounding an artwork or the negative spaces within it that are most meaningful for contemplation. These spaces affect our thoughts, emotions, and behavior to give the art-and-space deeply personal meaning. Such artworks may create an emotional impact on viewers in the surrounding space: perhaps silent reverie, or perhaps giddy, joyful interaction. Or the artworks may skillfully use negative space to affect viewers' expectations of order, structure, and balance. The show asked Bay Area sculptors to contemplate how they interpreted "Room for Thought" and to submit pieces that resonated with the theme. Submissions were juried by Jack Fischer of Jack Fischer Gallery (www.jackfischergallery.com EXHIBITING ARTISTS Nancy Brown, Walter Bruszewski, Richard Downs, Elicia Epstein,
